Riverboat Hold'em Poker

Riverboat Hold'em Poker | online casinoRiverboat Hold'em Poker is a poker-based free online casino game found in Mississippi and Indiana. Usually I do all my own analysis for this site. However in the case of this casino poker game the math is by Stanley Ko. The game owner provided me Stanley's report, with permission to publish on this site. I can only independently vouch for the River bet tables. Below are the Riverboat Hold'Em Poker Rules and strategies.

  1. A single 52-card deck is used.
  2. Play starts with the player making an ante bet and an optional River Bet.
  3. The dealer will give each player ahd himself two cards face down. The player may look at his own cards but sharing of information is not allowed.
  4. The player has the following options.
    • Fold: Player loses ante bet. The River Bet (if made) remains active.
    • Call: Player must place an additional bet equal exactly to the ante.
    • Raise: Player must place an additional bet equal exactly to two times the ante.
  5. The dealer deals three community cards face up.
  6. The dealer will turn over his two hole cards.
  7. The dealer must have a king-jack or higher to qualify. For example, the lowest possible qualifying hand would be K,J,4,3,2. If the dealer does not qualify all ante bets will pay 1 to 1 and all call and raise bets will push.
  8. If the dealer qualifies and the player has the higher hand then the ante and call or raise bets will pay 1 to 1.
  9. If the dealer qualifies and the dealer has the higher hand, or there is a tie, then the ante and call or raise bets will lose.
  10. The dealer will resolve the river bet based only on the poker value of the player's hand. There are four pay tables available from the game maker as shown below.
  11. The following table shows the optimal player strategy according to the player's initial two cards. There is no code for fold because the player should never do so.
